Academy of Indian Music aka AIM San Diego is a southern California based non profit (501-c 3). Sudakshina founded AIM San diego in 2011 and it's dedicated to spreading the intricate and extremely beautiful art of Hindusthani Classical music. We have ongoing classes, student recitals, visiting artist concerts, community enrichment via student performances as well as lecture and demonstrations. We are solely run by volunteers and donations/matching grants etc. All our revenue (extremely moderate given the nature of Indian classical music) from concerts etc. go straight to AIM fund to be utilized for future concerts, community enrichments and charitable donations to other organizations.

Academy of Indian Music has regularly worked toward fundraising for multiple charities such as AID India, CRY India, Aim for Seva, Akshaya Patra, Seed Satyagraha movement and also has and continues to do fundraisers to aid in natural disasters such as UNICEF for Nepal Disaster, AID in Chennai flood, to name a few.
